Hi everyone,

How many of you have applied for the 2013 Accelerated BSN/MSN program at JHU SON? I applied early decision and completed my phone interview on the 26th. They said they will start making decisions calls around the December 15th which is a Saturday so I'm sure we won't hear anything until the 17th or later.

Is anyone else as anxious as I am to hear back from them? I even made a vision board on my fridge that reads: I WILL GET ACCEPTED INTO THE JOHNS HOPKINS BSN/MSN PROGRAM STARTING SUMMER 2013. Positive thoughts work, right? :saint:

FYI: I also applied to Columbia, Ohio State, and UCLA.

I'm Fall ABSN and they told me March 1. Can't speak for the other groups for sure but it sounds like this is big the day for everyone!

Of course that being said, another competitive school which shall remain nameless told me 7 weeks ago that I would hear in 2-3 weeks, so...you never know!

Yes, fall and summer should hear today and each class consists of around 150 students, but a good amount already know due to being early decision so I'm thinking about 200 phone calls would need to be made today, assuming that around 100 spots (50 summer, 50 fall) are already allocated to early decision students... that's just a guesstimate though so who really knows

I heard from my admissions counselor that we'd be hearing but the END of the first week of March, she said the admissions committee needed more time.

I really hope we hear today, but let's not beat ourselves up if we don't (unless other people are hearing back...)

Keob, it seems like a lot of us have been told different things. Thanks for the clarification! After talking to many different people, I'm not counting on a phone call. It seems letters only are most likely at this point. I will be very happy if I get a phone call but I will not count on it. I appreciate it!

Good luck hopefulnurse! We are going to know soon enough. Are you applying to other schools? Have you heard back from them? For me, I only applied to JHU, OHSU, and Pacific Lutheran University (I am applying based on places my fiance is likely to get a post-doc or teaching position) and this is my first decision to be announced. It is also super stressful because I was early decision at JHU, then they moved me into regular decision because they liked my application, but wanted to "reconnect" after I had taken a few more pre-reqs...I have two more down and As in both, so I'm crossing my fingers!

Hey, you didn't get denied, so that's a good thing! I applied to Penn (waitlisted), Marquette (accepted), Duke (interviewed last week), and NYU. First choice is a tie between Duke and Hopkins! Lets hope we hear great news soon! Good luck to you as well!

I know, that's what everyone told me, and my admissions counselor told me it was a really good sign because the applicant pool for regular decision isn't as competitive as it is for early decision...anyway, still nervous and would love to get in. I have a masters in Neuroscience (I left a PhD program with a masters to pursue a career in nursing) and I applied to Duke for my PhD. I got in but ended up not going-- but it is a great campus and really affordable to live around there. You couldn't make a wrong choice between Hopkins and Duke!

And congrats on Marquette! That's a great program!
