Suggestions??

I have an upcoming 12 page assignment on a topic of my choosing. I wanted to check here to see if there were any good suggestions. I was thinking of neonatal pain assessment and pain management. I need a topic that would have journal articles as well as reputable sources. Can you think of anything better/more interesting?

A friend of mine wrote a paper on neonatal pain management and assessment in nursing school, and I believe she found a wealth of information. Now that the medical community admits that infants do actually feel pain, I would imagine plenty of articles have been written on the topic. Good luck, and if you find anything particularly interesting, please share it with the rest of us!

My preemie daughter participated in a study on neonatal pain (she was videotaped during heel sticks using a binky and not...). This was 11 years ago. I still have a copy of the consent/outline of the study, and can look up any info if you need it. PM me if you want any more info, and I may be able to track down some of the articles published as a result of the study.

I am sure there are other great things out there too on this topic. Great choice. What about the use of Sweet-Ease?
