Suggestions on how to practice clinical skills at home...

Last semester I bought a nurse pack that my school started offering and it has many things in there that would allow us to practice at home. Caths, IV's, syringes/needles, wound care kits, etc...

I'm just wonering if anyone has any suggestions on things I can make at home that would allow me to practice at home? Like my instructor was saying something about an oatmeal canister? I did a search on google and didn't see any ideas on there...so just wondering if any of you had come up with at home creations to allow you to practice your skills???

For things like vitals just practice on a friend or someone :)

You can practice injection techniques on fruit...oranges are nice! I have also heard people doing dressing changes on potatoes!
