Hi all -
I just lost my job about a month ago. I am a pre-nursing student at ASU and my husband is in college as well right now, we are living off limited income from his disability checks each month from the VA.
I have no healthcare experience but I would like to start looking for a job somewhere in the healthcare field, even if it is more administrative in nature. I'm kind of lost as to where to start looking and who might hire someone with no experience working in healthcare. I did work in sales/customer service for my last job for 2.5 years so I'm hoping that will help me maybe get in the door somewhere.
I've considered my CNA but we just don't have the $1k to spend on the training, unfortunately.
Any suggestions/advice would be greatly appreciated.

I would volunteer at a local hospital. I was volunteering 4 hours/week at my local hospital in the ER. I know that several volunteers were able to get jobs after a few months as scribes(not sure if spelling is correct) for the MD in the ER. I think they were going on to nursing school also.
