suggestion on sheri taylor's workshop r/o

For those of you that have attended, do you suggest taking the workshop a couple weeks prior to your cpne date or a couple months prior??

I took it 6 weeks before and thought it was perfect timing for me.

I cleared my inbox and sent you a PM.

I hadn't studied before then. I only read the entire study guide.

So you prepared for the entire CPNE within 6 weeks? If you dont mind me asking did you pass the first time and where did you test? Thanks!

Yes. And I passed the first time at Utica. That was this past February.

At least 6-8wks prior...read study guide cover to cover and break into smaller sections. I believe section 4 is the entire CPNE weekend and that is your meat and potatoes to know front to back! I took her in person workshop 8 wks prior to testing, then also did the online workshop videos for the next 6 wks and studied hard every single day and weekend and turned in care plans to her weekly as well as did the documentation and care plan online conferences with EC. I tested and passed first shot, only failing one lab from my own stupid mistake (didn't look at needle lengths on the packaging for IM station) and I also did Sheri's mock the day before CPNE to get ahold of my nerves. It helped a lot and when I went in for the actual exam there were several other students looking frantic and rushing around, and i sat there and was calm and ready to start.
