Hi,
I am about to begin a new position as director of clinical education at a SNF. While I am confident that I can rise to the challenge, I have a few nervous butterflies. I am searching for resources to help me prepare for success.
I am a fairly recently minted ADN/RN and was an LPN for 18 years prior. I have experience both in staff and patient ed and management roles.
I am hoping someone may have some recommendations for books or other resources that I can utilize. I have already picked up several.
I have:
Nurse as Educator: Principles of Teaching and Learning for Nursing Practice by Susan Bastable
Staff Educator's Guide to Clinical Orientation: Onboarding Solutions for Nurses by Alvin Jeffery
Staff Development Nursing Secrets by Kristen O'Shea
The Ultimate Guide to Competency Assessment in Health Care by Donna Wright
Any other suggestions are greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Join the specialty organization for people in Nursing Professional Development (ANPD). Read their journal regularly and take advantage of all they have to offer. That way, you'll be able to keep up-to-date on things.
Thank you, I am headed over there now!
