Sucrose use = Increase in incidence of Nec?

We were discussing this today. I cannot recall where I read about sucrose use and a link to an increased incidence of Nec. Google didn't give me what I was looking for. Anyone able to point me in the right direction? Anyone heard of this relationship as well? Thanks in advance :)

I got yelled at by an NNP for giving sweetease to a 1 kg baby. I had no idea about this but I looked it up after the incident and it does say something about it in the neofax. go figure, the kid nec'd out a week later and died but he was also getting a round of indocin at the time he perf'd so no telling.
