succinylcholine drip

What is the best way to run a succs gtt? I ask since I'm doing a thymectomy tomorrow, and my instructor suggested that we use one. I'm sure he has his way, but I'm curious as to the opinions of others on the board. Thanks in advance.

I use mini drip tubing and titrate it to the TO4. Keep the TO4 at all times so you know that when you turn off your drip it will definately wear off. We used to have the 500mg sux paks that we added to 500cc NS bags, I'm not sure if they are available anymore.

Sux drips are a great way to do a short case, just don't let it get ahead of you. No twitches and you're not sure if a phase 2 block exists or not.

good luck
