Hello.
As a UK educated nurse who is trying to get permission to sit NCLEX, i am becoming increasingly frustrated with various obstacles i face.
So id like to invite people who have successfully gone through the process to share some positive stories to keep up the moral for those of us going through the process going.
cheers
Scott.

Hi i am a uk nurse that went thru the process recently and have passed my nclex and have a licence now, if there is anything i can help you with?
In truth its just looking for people to share success stories.
sometimes it seems impossible so the boost from people who made it would be great.
I am now at the interview stage, I just had one that am going to review the contract and have another interview next month as well, , cgfns and studying for the nclex was a stressful stage, i sympathise with you if your at that stage.
CGFNs is the stage i am at today. My theory hours will probably be covered by my CFP from the start of my training but im almost certainly going to be short clinical hours in peads. I spoke with the nursing board today which was just disheartening. Im fairly sure they didnt quite understand what i was asking (good old Scottish accent) so im sending a formal letter requesting more information.
i feel days like this it becomes important for people to see that it can be done and is done successfuly
How many child hours do you have in theory and clinical ? They dont require a lot you know, it depends on what bon your applying for
im applying for missouri.
i dont have specific hours in child clinical. i have spent time in communiy and A&E where child care was included but they were not secifc child placemets.
Firstly work closely with the uni to make sure they document any child hours you have. Also in america a health visitor does not exist , that is done in by a pead nurse ,
Also if you are absent from child hours , you could ask the uni if you could do a placement in the children's ward in your hospital if you have one, its worth a thought?
These are all options i have been looking at. The problem is getting the time. I am a charge nurse in my own ward and most BONs i have spoken to that allow make up time have stated it would have to be at an acreddited US college.
anyway back to success stories.

Hi Scott
I think this is a great idea to hear positive stories as I personally quite demoralised with this process !
