success at kent state nursing

Nursing Students Pre-Nursing

Published

hello, I will be graduating from high school this month as valedictorian. I love science especially anatomy. I always wanted to be in the medical field and work with women so I plan to become a WHNP. I will be enrolling in Kent state this fall as prenursing. ive heard a lot of bad things about kent state's nursing program esp about the professors. im afraid of failing nursing school and giving up. if there is anyone that goes to kent for nursing can you please tell me about your experiences so far and give me advise? you don't have to be at kent to tell me your experiences. and also, ive heard about a waitlist. what is it for? is it to get in the program? and if so, how many students get in. thank you.

Specializes in ER, ICU, PACU, hospital medicine.

I received my BSN thru Kent and now I'm in their MSN program. The professors are definitely hard - they like to weed out those who they dont feel fit. However, they make sure YOU KNOW YOUR STUFF.

I have experienced quite a bit of sexism. If you are a man, some of the professors will "less hard" on you.
