Subpoenaed by the BON after 19 months. Any experience with this?

Published

I just got subpoenaed for my termination by two hospitals.

One of them I know I was terminated and I resigned as well, but never received anything. I was told to resign and they would not contact the BON. I was terminated during orientation. I never received anything by that hospital.

The other hospital did terminate me by wrongful accusation which led to termination due by professional misconduct.

My attorney and I responded to their letter 19 months ago and that was it. Never spoke to an investigator. I just had my NY license renewed last week also and I did tell them about my 1 termination for professional misconduct. So I got subpoenaed and never spoke to an investigator but NY did renew my license. At the date of the subpoena they will decide what happens to my license. Two questions:

Has anyone had any experience with this? No investigator spoke to me, NY allowed to renew my license last week, and now I get a subpoena.

Yes, I have an attorney and he hasn't responded yet. I'm just looking to get some responses. Did NY call NJ and ask questions and that what set NJ to send me a letter?
