subdural haematoma

Published

Hi everyone...was wondering if anyone could help....why do patients have vomiting and dizzyness etc after a sub-dural haematoma?? Just want to know what affect it has on the brain and why these symptoms occur. Any help would be appreciated thanks xx:wink2:

The enlarging hematoma presses against the brain tissue. The brain is encased in hard bone and has no room to expand so it gets squeezed. This irritates the various nerve centers of the brain tissue giving you the various signs and symptoms that the patient exhibits.

thankyou, much appreciated! :wink2:
