Studying for ANCC Adult/Gero Acute Np

I recently switched to the adult-gerotology acute nurse practitioner program. I graduate in August 2015, and will have to take the ANCC exam. I am almost done with Barkley Acute Review and was going to start on Leik adult /gero soon. To those who recently took the exam, can you tell me how the test was and what you did to prepare?

I ordered the ANCC acute NP review books yesterday. I figured I can't go wrong with those. Someone told me that took ANCC said the books are good and also APEA, but they don't have acute NP. So I will buy the practice questions from ancc after graduation. They're expensive but if they're similar to the test I might as well.
