Study Tips for Med Surge and Pharm

Well, I passed my first semester of nursing school-barely. In January, I start Pharmacology and Med Surge. Everyone has warned me these classes are extremely tough. What study tips do you all have besides flash cards, study groups, etc?

I use "Med Surg Made Incredibly Easy" as well as "Medical-Surgical Nursing: Demystified" (both purchased from Amazon) as supplemental books in addition to our textbooks..They really help break down the info in a way that makes it easier for me to understand.I also use the "Quizlet" website/app faithfully to make flashcards & practice tests to help prepare for my exams.I don't really have any suggestions for Pharm besides "Quizlet" & making handmade flashcards..& of course grouping drugs by their endings.Hope these things help!

I found a really good book this Friday for Pharmaceutical, it's called straight A's in pharmacology. Go figure I am over half done and could have used it from day one! Really good book. Our instructor also sail those med decks are good too. People are right, pharm Is not easy. I start Med surg on Monday but already did my 1st part skills check off on that. At my school I heard that is all NCLEX questions.
