how to study

I am a level 4 nursing student now, and with online classes and the normal changes happening in the educational system. I think everything happens so fast and my studies are barely keeping up with me. I feel like my syllabus is snowballing me till I take my boards. Really need a strategy to learn every important stuff without feeling so anxious. I feel lost on what to do first.. help.

I'm in my last semester so my courses are Competency Appraisal, Medsurg (emergency situationa) and Nursing leadership, Nursing Disaster. 

I actually want to learn effective learning strategies on how to sort my notes and make sense of it

I think is sounds like you might be in nursing school outside of the US.  I might not be as able to help you.  

In general, I would say to look for concepts you can compare and contrast, such as related diseases, and write your notes in a chart format. 

Try really hard to keep your notes very short and in your own words.  This means you may have to read your books and just think of ways to condense sections into just a small bit of notes.  That actually helps you think about what you are reading and writing and will help you remember it.  If you write notes in your own words instead of copying from books or lectures, you will find it sticks better.

When you can, always try to understand the rationales for why certain things happen or why we take certain nursing actions.  

If you have a friend to study with, take turns explaining different concepts out loud to each other.  If you can "teach" something to a friend, you probably understand it.  If you don't have someone to talk to, talk out loud to yourself.  It will help with your recall later, again, keeping everything short and in your own words.

Try and keep yourself organized. That’s the key to success in nursing school. 
create a weekly template of what needs to be done and check it off as you go. As for studying diseases I would use this template to assist you in your studies.
