Study hard PRAY HARDER

So I told myself that if I passed I would post on this site to help those who were in the position I was a few days ago.

First off I want to thank God for all His blessings. I honestly would not have gotten through that test without Him. For all of you who are studying pray. Ask God for wisdom and understanding. I prayed before I studied. It makes a difference.

Second I want to thank all you awesome people on the site who took the time to post what helped them pass the NCLEX.

About me: I graduated last May with my Associates. It took me a while to get my ATT, I ended up taking the NCLEX in August and failed. I'm not going to lie it took me a while to get over it. It was sad to see the rest of my class pass and start working while I had to start studying over again. I picked myself up and kept praying and asking God for wisdom. I am one of those people who believe things happen for a reason and that God had a different plan for me.

I had to do the process over again of getting my ATT so it took some time. By the time i received my ATT and was able to test again it was November. Since I was taking BSN classes I decided to take my test after Christmas so that I was able to prepare hardcore during the break and didn't have to worry about classes.

For my second test I used these sources:

HURST - My school had us do the three day in class review. I honestly think this was a great resource. I made sure to study one section a day and write down what I learned into a notebook. Later at night I would use the CD that came with the Saunders (yellow) book and test myself over the section i went over during the day.

KAPLAN - I did the classroom anywhere. I think learning the strategies were helpful. I finished the Qtrainers and about 95% of the Qbank. I had a notebook and I would write down the rationales in it and made sure I went over it before I went to sleep. Don't let low scores bring you down. Keep reviewing and make sure you understand why you got the question incorrect.

Diagnostic: 63%

Qtrainer 1: 71%

Qtrainer 2: 68%

Qtrainer 3: 56%

Qtrainer 4: 52%

Qtrainer 5: 67%

Qtrainer 6: 68%

Qtrainer 7: 62%

Readiness: 60%

PDA - The LaCharity Prioritization, Delegation and Assignment book was also helpful. I didn't have the time to finish the whole book.

FEUER - I listened to some of the Feuer recordings that were posted on this website. When I went on a walk or was driving around town I would play the cd.

I also went over the PDF file that was floating around this website.

I added some attachments that I found when I was studying.

I scheduled my test for January 7. I had 75 Questions. 3 EKG's, 1 med calculation. Lots of priority questions. and 10-15 SATA. About two or three hours after the test I had the good pop up. I checked later on in the day then I saw my results on hold. That was so scary. But I kept on praying. Today after paying for the Quick Results I saw that I PASSED!!.

I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me - Phil. 4:13

Study hard PRAY HARDER.

Good luck to everyone studying for the NCLEX. I wish you all the best. Don't give up. If you have any questions just ask!
