Study Guide book for ANCC Med Surg Exam

I'm getting ready to take the ANCC Med Surg exam and have been studying from the Lippincott's Review Book titled,

"Medical-Surgical Nursing Certification" 5th edition.

Can anyone who has taken the ANCC Med Surg Exam tell me if the Book I listed is a good book to study from? It's all I got.

I just applied today and hopefully I can take the cert test Mid August. I saw online practice tests through ANCC - $75 for 90 days. Anyone knows if it's worth it? Thanks!

Just took this test on the 3rd, and passed. My recommendation is to grab a study guide book, such as "Medical-Surgical Nursing Certification" 5th edition, and buy the study guide questions from the ANCC website. This test wasn't horrible, but it wasn't easy either. Reminded me of the NCLEX. Glad that the test is over though, gl to all!

I used that and the AMSN review questions (I know your taking the ANCC exam). The review questions were good because of the rationales which was another way to review. I studied and took the exam after being away from the bedside as an Assistant Nurse Manager for 9 years and passed :) Good Luck!!!!!
