I am interested in hearing feedback about Capella University's RN-BSN online program. I graduated with my ADN in 1997, and I would like to get my BSN. I would love to know the difficulty of the courses, and the amount of time you spend on completing the assignments. As well as the quality of the program, and the availability of the instructors? Has anyone taken three courses in a quarter, and was it manageable with a full life? Thanks!

I am currently attending Capella's RN-BSN program. I am currently in my second class. I have had no problem with the availability of the instructors. Each class will require at least 12 -15 hours of your time per week. I would not take more than two classes at a time.
Are two classes doable for someone who works and has a family? I had read a review of someone who completed the first class in the program, and she had 3 research papers, discussion board posts along with reading. I can't imagine taking two classes and having to complete 6 papers in 10weeks on top of the other assignments. I know that every professor is different, and so each of the classes may not have the same requirements. My goal is to complete the program in no more than 18mos. Thanks for the information.
In my opinion, taking two classes with a family will be difficult, unless you don't mind taking time away from the family. The first class in the program did have 3 papers, but I thought the papers were relatively simple. The papers did require research, and that is what takes up your time, however, I enjoy writing, so maybe that's why they didn't seem difficult to me.
