Student Nurse Internship in Emergency

Hey everyone! I am starting a student nurse internship in the emergency. I am wondering if anyone has done an internship in emergency before and can tell me what to expect. What are some tasks that I would be allowed to do? Thanks!

Make the most of your time there. Concentrate a little less on the tasks (they’ll show you what you’ll be allowed to do) and put more attention into asking the nurses lots of “Why?” questions. Why do we do it this way? Why did you choose that care for this case? Why did this exam show that? Why did the doctor want that kind of test? What do those signs and symptoms tell you, and why? Why did you choose ER nursing? What nursing did you not want to do, and why?
