Student FNP in need of a preceptor in LA area

Nursing Students NP Students

Published

Hi all! I am a family nurse practitioner student and I am having a difficult time searching for a preceptor in the Los Angeles area. The preceptor can be a NP, DO or MD and needs to be in a non specialty area (minute clinic, family practice, quick care). Does anybody have any advice, or willing to be a preceptor?

Thanks you all

Laura

This site has a list of NP organizations that has preceptors listed http://www.theagapecenter.com/…/Spec…/Nurse-Practitioner.htm. The link is broken so you will have to copy and paste the organization name into the search engine. You can also check out https://npfinder.aanp.org to locate a preceptor. I live in Dallas, TX and just last week I was able to locate preceptors in Houston, San Antonio and Waxahachie through TNP. I hope that this helps.

Hi all I feel your plight! I am in an online FNP/Masters program and I am a member of ENP, AANP, and a few others, I have been e-mailing and am getting ready to cold call. It is difficult to find a Nurse practitioner for clinical rotations. You cannot get through school with out the clinical rotation part. I am seeking a NP in the southern California area for August of this year (2018) if anyone knows someone I would be grateful! Thank you!

Warm regards, Donna Bradshaw RNC BSN.
