I was doing flu vaccines and had a 10 month old. Mom and I were attempting to hold leg for vaccine. I stuck once and gave only half and restuck using the same needle. I cleaned the area well but now I'm just freaking out. I realize I should have stopped, changed needles. I can't sleep.

Yeah, a needle change would be the prudent thing to do, but sometimes we are so focused on getting to the goal line, we forget it's not a race, momRn.
It's probably not a big deal though- I've been involved with many more that were worse.
Like the psychiatrist who gave a forced med through a shirt sleeve. Or the nurse who picked up a syringe off a bathroom floor after it'd been knocked out of my hand by an aggressive patient. As I restrained the patient, the nurse administered the forced med.
The topper was when a nurse accidently stuck the security guard with the syringe needle as the patient was being restrained.
Ouch.
These things happen. A truth is that we all do the best we can at any given time. Hindsight comes easily as does taking pot shots from the sidelines.
A lesson will be learned and some day this will all be just a memory, MomRn.
The best to you.
