What would you advise me to do ? Because I live in Indiana and have been struggling to find an open CNA Class. For A long time

Here are a couple of ideas:

First, use this link to search for a CNA training program approved by the Indiana Department of Health by city or county.

Additionally:

  • Many community colleges and adult education centers offer CNA programs. If you're not already doing so, try calling them directly to ask about upcoming classes. Schedules may change, or classes could be added unexpectedly. If they are not offering a class, ask if they know of an upcoming class.
  • Workforce Development Programs: Contact the Indiana Department of Workforce Development (DWD). Call 1-800-457-8283. The DWD often partners with schools and healthcare providers to offer training.
  • Legacy CNA training offers CNA classes in South Bend / Mishawaka, Indianapolis / Carmel / Noblesville, and Fort Wayne.

Here is an informational flyer on CNAs in Indiana.

If some programs are full, ask about waiting lists. It might be worth it to be on a list for the next available spot rather than starting from scratch again later.

Best wishes,

Nurse Beth
