Hi my name is Kate, I'm in my second semester of LPN school total 3 semesters and I'm losing all motivation. I'm beyond stressed. My dad just got really sick and I had to miss 3 days recently and I'm at my max for the semester. My clinical instructors aren't the greatest my grades are good, so at least that's not an issue but I just feel totally burnt out. I feel like all my classmates can't relate to me it's like they didn't understand why I had to miss school and I'm like it's my dad..I can't just stop life from happening even though I'm a nursing student. I'm having a huge issue with my one clical instructor she's without a doubt affecting my emotional stability. Anyone have similar experiences I would love to know Im not alone, thanks:)

I'm not in the program yet, but I will say this. I live with two RN's and my brother was a CNA and people in the environment can be jerks. That's just the truth. Be bold.. Be rude to if you have to, but stay professional.

Keep your "why" in mind. Do not ever let anyone knock you off your square, even yourself. You have to stay strong for your dad. You can study while bedside with him, but the most important thing is being present with him. You do not have to explain yourself to your classmates. Everyone has problems, some worse than others and we all handle them differently. Keep the faith. I'll pray for you.
