Strange satisfaction...

Ya know, I really don't enjoy putting an NGT down someone...but when I hook it up to suction, and I start sucking out some major gastric contents, it is the coolest thing in the world to me...

I feel the same thing when I suction someone on the vent, and get up a copious amount of nasty secretions, hehe...

I enjoy a good ear lavage (fetish??? NOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!) I tell my patients to repeat after me:

"OH, GROSS!!! Did that come out of MY ear!!!!????"

They forget the words, I think, until the big chunks plop out, then they just naturally exclaim..."OH! GROSS!! Did that come.............." You get the picture.

After 30 years at this, it's natural to be a little warped. I think we all are to some degree. It's called 'survival instinct.'
