strange question from a newbie

Published

Hello everyone, I love this forum and have spent the past month lurking like crazy. I have a strange question- did any of you intend on becoming a midwife independent of being a nurse? In other words, is it realistic for someone to pursue the goal of becoming a CNM with only a "check the box" attitude about getting through nursing so one can get to their primary business of being a CNM?

Just curious, thanks!

I have a BS in Criminal Justice then got my RN thru an ADN program. I will enter Frontier's MSN program this spring. The portfolio, Stats and a Physical Assessment class all had to be completed as my "pre-reqs" and as a replacement for my BSN.

I forgot about those requirements. I did have to retake stats, but only because mine was so old (20 years ago). They accepted my physical assessment class from my RN program.
