Hello everyone,
I'm currently taking my prerequisites courses at Southern California University of Health Sciences. It's an expedited four week program for each class I need to take. So far I've completed microbiology and I'm currently taking Chemistry for Health Sciences. I am taking Anatomy and then Physiology afterwards. I understand that trying to get into nursing schools are highly competitive and I wanted honest opinions if I could get into a program with just straight B's instead of A's.

In some areas, I'm sure you could. In California? I'm not sure. I've heard a lot of things about how competitive programs there are because of the mass of applicants. I might suggest looking at your prospective programs to determine how competitive they are specifically.

It really depends on the program. Based on the climate up here (Sacramento area) the CSU route is unlikely to impossible without an extremely competitive GPA. But, the CCs are more lenient in that a 3.0 is the minimum you can have to apply, once you meet those requirements you get put into a lottery. But 3.0 is the absolute lowest core GPA at any cc or city college I've personally looked at just to be allowed to apply. Some private schools up here allow as low as Cs, but of course that's going to be a much more expensive route.
