I feel the same way as you- the same pts who are always non-compliant, complain about everything and come in 7kg over, but don't accept any responsibiliy for it can get to you.
Becoming a traveler helped me. I could not do dialysis as a reg employee anymore. I really like to float to different clinics, too. Demand for travelers is way down in this economy, though.
Maybe you could float to different clincs in your area.
I have thought about that before. I would guess that you wouldn't have to get caught up in the all the politics & drama with the employees, or so involved with the patient's lives. It would be nice to leave all that to someone else to worry about.
Which travel company do you like working with?

Most of the time I am pretty laid-back, but sometimes dealing with patients' problems over & over gets to me. There are times that I do not want to see their faces, hear their complaints, or even see a dialysis machine. I usually work through it, but I wonder if at some point in time that I will have to try some new strategies. I would like to know what works for some of you.
