So I took the NCLEX RN test today and stopped at 75. After the test I didn't have a feeling of dread that I failed and actually think I did okay. Should I be worried? I had around 11 SATA and my last questions was a delagation question. Kind of freaking out that I'm not panicking that I failed and how relaxed I was after.

Thanks!

I think you are doing well on the exam. Stay positive. May I ask what study materials did you used? I will be taking nclex-rn on april 22.

75 is a good number. Also feeling relaxed after is also a good sign. How soon can you find out? 72 hrs?

It is but I feel like I should be worried. They said if you come out feeling confident it's a likely sign you failed. (Not all the times)

Not in all cases. I walked feeling ok but not confident and passed in 75. Found out 24 hours after seeing my name on my state BON site.

You could check your states BON site and see if your name is on their. Not sure if your state offers that or you wait out the unofficial results.

I live in CA and I think it takes a while

I'm not sure if there's anything someone should or should not be after taking the NCLEX. Did I walk out of there feeling good? Nope. I stumbled out feeling absolutely traumatized and I cried myself to sleep in the car (I had a ride to and from the test) I had over half of my test as SATA which I dread which is probably why I was traumatized but I did pass with 75 on my first attempt. My BON takes forever to post licenses (Colorado) so I tried the PVT, got the "good" pop up but I didn't rest until the next day when I accessed my quick results and saw that I passed. Doesn't mean much though, had a classmate who left feeling cool as a cucumber, also had a ton of SATA and 75 and she also passed. It all depends on the person! I'm sure you rocked it and I am rooting for you!

Thank you for the words of encouragement, I will keep you all updated!

There is only ONE thing that you can glean from the NCLEX stopping at 75. You either did very well or did very poorly, to the point where the computer didn't have to go further than 75 to determine your result. The NCLEX is going to (usually) be the hardest exam you'll ever take. When I walked out of mine, I also generally felt pretty good but I also knew that there was a significantly high chance that I'd failed and that is simply because of the way the exam is designed. Of course it figures out your ability by how you answer the questions. correct answers get you a "harder" question next time and incorrect answers get you an "easier" question next time. Ideally by a few questions in, the computer should be presenting you questions that you will only get 50% correct and on "standard" exams, you'd fail. This exam is looking for ability, so its method finds that.

If you felt good about the exam, it could be that you felt like you read the questions, porificed them for what they were looking for in light of the answers given, and did your best to answer them correctly as best you knew.

Good luck, I hope you passed!

Thank you, hopefully I passed. If not there's always next time!

me too! i walked outta there feelin' confident with the minimum amount of questions but still waiting for results

best of luck to both of us!
