Stony Brook School of Nursing NNP program 2015

Published

Anyone applied for Stony brook NNP program 2015 or any MSN program

How was the interview meswaa? Did you feel good about it when you left?

are any of you logging into Solar to check? And if so, what is it saying? My screen offers a message tab that only says no new messages, and a place to check application documentation. If I am rejected than it shouldn't take this long and if I am accepted without an interview (which I doubt) it also shouldn't be taking so long. --and this is my perpetual thought process...

I agree with your thought process. Solar sounds the exact same as mine. No messages and only other thing is to check app documents. I really am feeling very negative and doubtful that I would be accepted without an interview. I didn't realize they got a massive amount of applicants for the program. I heard they were competitive but didn't imagine this!

What are your stats if you don't mind me asking? GPA, years experience?

It was okay very straight forward and straight to the point. It wasn't my best but sure wasn't the worst either. I think we are cutting it really close to be honest though, to the deadline.

Same here, I agree and also see the same thing Kate2876

My GPA is a 4.0 and I have 16 years of experience, but many of those years are in pediatrics and I didn't want to go for the PNP..a decision I think I am starting to regret. Maybe they didn't find my work history diversified for the FNP??

Well if its not meant to be I guess! As much as I hate hearing that from my friends and family I just said it to you both! Have you applied anywhere else?

i also read a thread from a few years back where people weren't finding out until a few days before orientation and one even found out after it appeared...

I only have a 3.5 and have only been nursing for 7 years. Mostly family and ER. You would think that it wouldn't matter as long as you have worked with adults in some area especially with your fabulous GPA

That is insane!

Sighs I dont think this is meant to be lol. And yeah I applied to GWU which I got accepted to but can't afford and University of South Alabama which I am waiting to hear back from. How about you ladies?
