Anyone applied for Stony brook NNP program 2015 or any MSN program
Last October I completed an RN to BSN program online. I work full time and have school age children. During the majority of the 8 week sessions, I was enrolled in one course at a time. There were a few sessions that I took two courses at a time and it was very difficult. In order to be successfully in a graduate nursing program, part time enrollment is likely better for students working full time etc.
Given the choice, I would choose part time enrollment. If the choice was not available, then I would come up with a game plan to make it work. I also read a few of the posted discussion threads about this topic. Some included helpful suggestions from other individuals working while enrolled in various programs.

Yes, a three year program will be more manageable. I recently completed an RN to BSN online program. I completed almost 100% of the coursework at the library or Starbucks. Actually found that I was more productive at Starbucks. Something about the background noise there worked for me. Unfortunately, after you spend a few hours at a Starbucks you start to smell like ground coffee beans. It's not a wonderful smell, but the free wifi service there is excellent. I hope that decisions are made available soon!!

I was told acceptance letters would go out in April up to one week before April 23rd orientation day. it will be a long, agonizing wait
