Hi everyone!! I decided I should start a thread for this year’s applicants so we can keep each other updated and answer questions.
I applied last year as well and was waitlisted, so if you have any questions I’d be happy to help!
Good luck everyone!!

Wishing us all the best of luck! Did anyone apply elsewhere?
Tbh the appealing thing about the requirements for Stony Brook sort of put me at a weird position where alot of schools pre-recs don't line up neatly.
I'm planning on applying to LIU but I am open ears to other programs with similar pre recs to Stony Brook

The main thing is to get the RN license. When you have the RN license you can finish your BS in nursing even online. SB, Farmingdale and Empire State college which are SUNY schools, they have RN to BSN online which are good programs meanwhile you can start earning your Nurse salary while finishing up your BSN. Keep all possibilities open and never give up.
Hello everyone!
I submitted my app just a week ago, and let me tell you, I am so anxious!
I wasn't on planning on applying this year (this is my second time-got rejected last year from SB and a couple of other institutions), but felt the need to because I really want to become a nurse. I have to keep trying, no matter the route, to reach my goal.
Wishing everyone here the best of luck! Fingers crossed for everyone!

Hey since you applied last year, Do you remember how did the scheduling go for in regards to the Interview process.
Did they have a variety of days and times, or was it strictly during the week and in the day?
They give you a scheduler online to sign up for a day/time. They are during the week and during the day but you do get a variety of times and days to choose from. I think interviews may go on for two weeks. Be sure to sign up soon after you get the email so you get a time/day you want!

This is my first time applying. I didn’t apply anywhere else. I missed Suffolk deadline for Teas. I’m graduating this Spring in Farmingdale (Bachelors in Science -Health Wellness and Society Degree concentration) so if I don’t get in this time, the plan is to keep applying until I get in.
