Stlcc 2019 Entry/Waiting List

Hello! I recently passed my teas exam, and got the OK to apply for the nursing program. I applied to Mermac and FP. When I applied I wasn't given any full information on how the process works. All I did was turn in a form to the admissions that was signed by an advisor giving me the confirmation to apply and the application paper. The women at FP was not there, so the front desk said she "labeled" the date I have turned it in and would have to ask her questions when she got back. Well.... I can't seem to get a hold of her or anyone at FP. I did speak with Mermac, and was aware of their waiting list.

I just want to know do you get a confirmation on if you're put on the waiting list for a school because I have proof even if my form was not given to the right person. I haven't received anything in the mail at this point I just want to make sure I'm on the list.

Also.. has anyone called FP recently and asked about the waiting list and could tell me what their waiting list is? I know Mermac is 1 - 1 1/2 yrs for the waiting list.

Also which one do you prefer? Mermac is by my house FP is by my job, so both work. FV is just not in my drive pattern so I opted from applying to those..

Thank you!!

This comment is pretty old lol but Im currently in 2nd semester at FP going into 3rd. I applied at both Meramec and FP and never got a confirmation letter from FP but I did get one from Meramec. What I got from FP was that I was an alternate for Spring 2019 (But i ended up getting in) They say that the wait is like 1 year-1 1/2 but I applied in June of 2018 and got in the Spring, so it really just depends. FP waiting list might be longer now since they built the new Nursing building and everybody is gonna want to go there but im not totally sure. Hope that helps!

@AishaNicolee thanks for replying. Our story sounds similar I actually got in this semester!! How is FP so far? How are you liking it??!

@nursingschoolquestions2019 Some advice.. definitely don't procrastinate lol. You'll have something called Prep U for your Fundamentals book, definitely utilize that. Do those questions everyday because it'll help you understand how to answer nclex style questions. Record all the lectures because some of them may throw in questions on the test thats not on their powerpoint but they said verbally. As far as shoes, I wore the nurse mates first semester but this semester I bought some sketchers and they are much more comfortable. They don't necessarily have to be leather. Just all black and no mesh, like just material that can be wiped down. If you have a FB you can add me on there (same name) if you want to keep in touch in case you have more questions or need some more advice ?
