Stir Up Regimen??

I can not find a definition any where for "stir up regimen"? I checked tabers and surg book and adult nursing book and internet!! I go to O.R. tomorrow and have to have a list done of assigned definitions? If anyone knows I would appreciate info! GRN2Bee

This is a very old term that encompasses nursing interventions for clients following surgery. Specifically those nursing interventions that are designed to minimize complications of anethesia and immobility. Included in this would be coughing and deep breathing, turning in bed, leg exercises, etc.
