I am a student at a community college, and was considering going into the RN program. I'm VERY nervous about the clinicals. I'm not sure if I can deal with the needles, grumpy people, and the stress.... I know this is bad, but the only thing that really interests me is the money I don't want to go spend all those years in school, and then find out that I hate it.
So....Does anyone know what types of jobs I can get with an AA in Health Inofrmation Technology? My school also offers this program, and I'm thinking it would be better for me. And does anyone know what the wages are in California for HIT careers? More specificaly Sacramento. If there are any websites that can help me, please let me know. THANKS!!!!!

You can work in Information Technology for Health Care facilities. There is a career path with a professional organization (the name escapes me at the time) and most positions pay well. The key for such a career is work experience so be sure to intern or get a job in IT even if it is not in Health Care before you graduate so you have something to tell potential health care employers upon graduation. GL!
By the way, there is still stress and grumpy people in that field; WORK is WORK. However, you may find the job more enjoyable since you sound like you are more interested in computers then nursing.
