std question

I have a question about urine STD tests. They tell you to wait 1-2 hours before urinating before collecting sample or to use first morning void. Do you think this is really necessary? Aren't those tests pretty sensitive? I mean, if you have enough pee to collect a sample (even if you peed a half hour earlier), wouldn't the chlamydia or gonorrhea DNA still be present?
