Hello, I am interested in applying to the Nursing program at stcc, and it appears from the course schedule that I can get a lot of the courses required out of the way before I even apply to the program. Many of which I can either do online or at night which is perfect for me since I work full time.
However my main question is when do the actual nursing classes occur? I assume many of them will be during the day time, which is fine, my schedule is flexible, but I am interested if anyone else has been able to go through this program with a full time job? Or at least mostly full time, I can probably cut back to about 32 hours a week.
I already have a BS from UConn that should cover some of the required course work as well. I'm hoping ideally the only classes I would need to take once being accepted are the actual nursing classes.
Has anyone done this? Any thoughts?
Thanks so much!

Lectures and lab are Thursday and Friday mornings. Clinical changes as you go through the program. It can either be 2 mornings, 2 evenings, or once you're into 3rd semester you may be in a 12 hour day clinical. You may be able to work that much the first year but with all the homework and studying you may find you need to cut back your hours come second year.
Good luck!!! :-)

If you already have a BS degree have you considered a direct entry BSN program? There are several and given you have a BS already, you would finish in two years or less with a BSN versus an ADN.
I have considered it, but all of the programs I found so far required me to go to school full time. The problem is I have a mortgage and already have 50,000 dollars in school loans, so I would really prefer to limit the amount of time I am unable to work. STCC's program is much cheaper, and most of the classes other then the nursing classes I could take at night or online. I have a friend who is a nurse, and she says she barely makes any more then her coworkers that only have associate degrees.
Thanks for the suggestion though! And if you or anyone else happens to know a BS program that may work for me, please do suggest one! :)
