.....I know the rumor that when you stop going to school and start working its hard to pick up school again ........
Without getting all mystical about it, allow me to suggest that school is only the beginning of our education. A professional education will ideally teach individuals how to teach themselves, will inculcate in students the habit of life-long learning, continual study and daily analysis, introspection and self-criticism that leads to unending improvement. Professional education is more a process than an obstacle. An evolution, not a hurdle.
In anesthesia, after over 40 years now, I can honestly say it's a rare day when I don't learn at least some small new pearl in clinical patient care every day. Learn how to teach yourself and you'll not need to pick up school again.

Hello. Im an aspiring student at the University of Texas at Arlington and Im going to be a freshman but I know that I want to be a CRNA. Anyways I want to know ways or classes that might have been took to stay on top of your nursing game while CRNAs were earning their one year experience in ICU. I know the rumor that when you stop going to school and start working its hard to pick up school again so was there any special study method that kept them learning while working. Thank you.
