Have been lurking on this site for over 6 years; this site has been like an advisor for me through LPN and RN school. I'm curious to know if anyone works for their state as a RN- medical care representative for the state insurance fund. was curious to know what the job entails exactly. I'm a bedside nurse at a level 1 hospital and i'm itching to spread my wings as I feel I haven't found my niche. I've done a search and I haven't been able to find anything on this site.

If by "state insurance fund" you mean Medicaid/CHIP programs ... these are administered by the individual states, so organizational structure of the department and job duties for any particular nursing position will vary. If you have been considering a specific job in your state, perhaps posting in your state forum will give you some more meaningful responses.
