Starting a Staffing Agency

Published

Hello:)

I am in the process of starting a staffing agency. I am writing a business plan and I am aware that it may take the hospital more than 30 days to pay my company so that I may pay my workers however I don't have a lot of money to cover payroll expenses. I was wondering if using a funding company would be the best route to take. I don't want to even think of hiring anyone until I know I can pay them the way they would like to be paid be it daily, weekly, or biweekly. Anybody's help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Darryl I was also looking to start my own agency do you have your staff and did you actually start operating as yet?

Hello, I have several nurses on standby but I have no work for them right now. I started operating August 28, 2008. I have one homecare case that I am working through a third party. I need medicare certification so that I can bill insurance agencies directly.

Boy I wish there was a way I could get around this.

Also, in New Jersey, in order for an agency to get into a hospital, the agency must be a member of NJHA. Otherwise, the hospitals will not even talk to you.

Do you have a contract that you could share with me? Where are you located?

Darryl
