Starting the process for UTA

I just applied and sent everything they requested over. I hope to hear back soon. I currently work in a small hospital doing three 12 hours shifts. I've been trying to get into a larger hospital but have found all of them now in my area are requiring a BSN. They all seems to be trying to get Magnet status. I wasn't planning on getting my BSN as I was content with my associates but here I go. Going for my BSN.

I would appreciate others input on this school. How do you like the classes? The testing and how the classes are set up online? Is the lectures just reading or is there video lectures? How are the exams? timed or untimed? Just curious. I haven't taken an online class in a long time. Do you have to do group projects or is individual assignments?

I hope they are a good school to get my BSN. Their cost is less than any other I've seen so I hope it's good.

I wanted to go to school locally but I wouldn't be able to start till the fall of 2014 and it would take 2-3 years to complete. I didn't want to take that long.

:)

I'm in california and interested in this school also.

Good luck. Let me know how it works out for you. I started the application process in Sept so I could start Nov 4th. Well I still have not started classes. I don't even know what credits they are taking or not taking. Getting someone to call you back has been a joke. I email them and they say they will get back to me within 48 hours...almost 2 weeks later I'm told they are STILL reviewing my transcripts. All of my records come from accredited school so I don't know what the hold up is. I have a sinking feeling I'm going to miss the January deadline as well. I don't mean to discourage anyone. My purpose is to say...Have a backup plan. I called the presidents office today and I'm waiting for a phone call back. I hope you both have better luck with them than I have. I've heard nothing but great things about this school. I'm a bit disappointed I may not get to experience it 1st hand! :crying2:

I've decided to start WGU instead

Much better program and very affordable. I'm starting February. I was hoping to start in January but they said it had to be February. You should look into it.
