Starting pay for new graduate nurses

I am a new grad nurse and have been offered a starting salary of $18/hr at an AL hospital. I know salary is lower typically in AL compared to GA (the state I graduated from) but this still seemed pretty low to me. Is this offer low because of the particular hospital or is this typical for new grads in AL?

You graduated in GEorgia? I just graduated and passed nclex here and am moving to Alabama next week - was the license transfer impossible?
