Congrats! I hope to be there myself in a few months. I grad in May. Please keep us posted as to how things are going. In the mean time, remember, you made it through nursing school. It takes a strong, smart, person to be able to do that! Have faith in your education and apply yourself during your orientation just as you did during school and I am sure you will see everything start to fall in to place.
Again, congrats!
Hi,
25 years ago when I graduated, I went right into an adult critical acare residency. it was the best thing I ever did! Don't get me wrong, I didn't know it all when I was done but i at least had the basics. The thing about nursing is you are always in the process of learning so good luck and keep learning.

Hi:
I start as a new grad in the NICU on Monday and I couldn't be more scared. I have just graduated with my RN two weeks ago and I feel like I'm jumping into this knowing nothing. I went yesterday for a tour and to meet with some of my preceptors and I feel so clueless. Is it possible that I will come out of this 12 week training knowing something and feeling confident taking care of these babies. I sure hope so!!! I would love to hear about anybody elses experience being a new grad in the NICU. In the meantime I think I should take a deep breath and relax!!
Thanks :wink2:
