Starting a native garden

As the title says I'm starting a native garden. By that I mean I am ripping out every inch of turf in my back yard and starting over. So for the next 60 months I'll be ripping,, pounding, shoveling and schlepping my little heart out...if it doesn't kill me. 

Anybody else going native?
