I will be starting nursing 2 on an acute hospital and I need a recommendation. Does anybody know of a good pocket size medical surgical guide/book, that has interventions, patient teachings, outcomes, ect... help is greatly appriciated.

I'm also in MedSurg this semester in an acute care unit and I'm loving my RNotes. It's not your whole 2000 page MedSurg book, but it's been a great quick reference for me so far!

Doenges has a pocket size on. I love mine.
Oh, apparently there is Med-Surg notes, similar to the RNotes but I haven't had a chance to flip through it so I don't know if it would be helpful.
How about one that offers patient teachings and is kind of compact?

if you wanna get spiffy ch-ching... get a palm pilot w/ RNotes! Our school made us get one. im sure the quick guide is good. i'm thinking about starting in med surg out of school this May!
