I am starting LVN school in August 20th. I have been a CNA for many years. I am nervous but nursing is a passion so I know if I study hard I will conquer this epic journey! I am however rather scared about the math. I know nurses use the metric system which is different from your average math class also I have worked with nurses and they all use calculators....I just hope the math wont hold me back...Anyone in CALIFORNIA know what the math is like in the LVN program?

Hi! I'm about half way through my LVN program in southern CA, and our math more or less consisted of all conversions and drip rate/factor. They told us we normally won't have to do the conversions by hand in the real world, but we have to know them for our tests. All conversions to the metric system as well as household measurements. They give us lots of practice though, so I'm sure you'll do fine!!
