I wanted to Know if anyone has recently gone to this school and if you have any comments about it. I am starting the program the end of september, so if anyone has any questions on the registration process just ask.

Thanks

Hello.. I am considering signing up for their evening LPN program? What the registration process difficult? Do they have a good class pass rate?

Hi, I just started the 22nd of August. Happy I have started. You have to study a lot. I look forward to a positive learning experience.

Hi :)...I am hopin to start the lpn program on september. I am super excited. Is it a good program?

Hello everyone! I have a question and i hope you guys can help (thanks) Im planing on attending a lvn/lpn program but not sure which one, I live in Los Angeles and I know theres alot of places that offer this but not sure plz help thank you guys!

Thanks for replying guys. Well about registration I can says its super simple you just have to take two entrance test: TABE and TEAS. they are both on basic math, english and vocabulary. once you pass both you just need to get your background check and highschool transcripts. I have heard only good things about the program so it must be good. the only thing i hear people complain about is that it is not in a good neigborhood. My opinion on that is that if you are going to live around there dont do it. I live about 40 minutes away and I am going to commute there. but all in all, if you are going to be doing the day program then you should be fine. I just have the feeling that people who say bad things about the school is because they are racist. just my opinion.

Can you start at any time or is there like a specific deadline you have to meet to apply??

They are usually starting classes every month or two.

Thanks becca!

Hey you already started the practical nursing program at Lindsey right? If so, how is it so far?

I have been at Lindsey Hopkins starting on the 3rd month now. It is a great experience. There was someone saying that the neighborhood is a concern. If you want a quality education at an affordable reasonable price this is the place for you, don't worry about the location. That is a weak excuse. :confused::uhoh3: That area is nothing but hospitals, courts, lots of buildings, not really residential. If there are some shady characters around there they are so high on crack they are not worried about you in your nursing uniform. It is a racist thing to be worried about that. If you are too scared to leave the 'burbs then stay in them.

The school has been around over 70 years and the graduates have a great reputation for knowing what they are doing once they get hired in a facility. In this program you have to study like there's nothing else in life. I have 100% financial aid for my tuition and will not incur any debt from this educational experience. It is awesome and I look forward to when I graduate and get hired as a LPN.:heartbeat :nurse::redbeathe:nurse::redbeathe

The classes do NOT start every month or two. They start in an erratic unpredictable fashion. You can go to the Health Office on the 2nd floor and speak to Tanya who is in charge to get specifics. The whole registration process takes time (months).

One Practical Nursing class started on August 22,2011 the one I'm in, then another on September 15, 2011. There will be another starting in January 2012. It is based on the availability of teachers. You have the same teacher once you start (if you are not recycled, fail the grading period I mean). Once a class graduates in 14.5 months then another teacher is available to teach an incoming newbie class. It really varies.

The registration process is not difficult, it just takes time. The NCLEX passing rate for Miami Dade County Public Schools Vocational Nursing programs are almost 100%. Very reputable. it seems like people in Miami are only interested in going to Miami Dade College, or another Keiser College. Miami Dade is cool, but they have a waiting list. Keiser and some others are way too expensive, I could go to an Ivy League school with the tuition they ask for. For nursing Lindsey Hopkins, Robert Morgan, and Miami Lakes Tech are all awesome.
