hi all,
I'm staring my accelerated 16 mos BSN (2nd degree) this January!! I'm a mom of two girls ages 3.5 and 5.5, with a wonderful, supportive husband. I'm nervous, excited, thrilled... All my books arrived from Amazon.com last week, and after looking through them I had an anxiety attack--whoa, is there a LOT of information in them!!
I am looking for advice from others who have been there or are in the thick of things now--what tips or words of wisdom can you share? Anything you wish you had known starting out?
Thanks!! :)

I'm just finishing my first semester of an accelerated program and the main thing that has really helped me through this semester is doing the reading. A lot of the people in my class have gotten so bogged down with everything that they've quit reading. I'm still reading, and this has been the key to making all A's for me. You might be thinking, "I always read for my classes!" Once you get started in your program, you'll see how hard it is to keep up with all the reading because there is always a million things to do. Also, getting a tape recorder has made things a lot easier for me. I tape the lectures, then go home and write out my notes. It's especially helpful for pharm and patho. Good luck to you in your program!!!
