Start first RN job in 2 weeks!

Well, all in one week I took boards, interviewed the next day and found out I passed and got the job the day after that! Last week was a very filled/stressful week. But, I start my first RN job August 22. It's at the Cleveland Clinic in the Bone Marrow Transplant Unit! I'm looking so forward to starting. I'll be doing 2 12's and 2 8's with rotating weeks, one week days next week nights. Better than straight nights I guess.

I'm orignally from Cleveland and got my BSN from Cleveland State University. Several of my classmates worked at Cleveland Clinic. Unless things have changed drastically there you are going to get a good orientation and learn a heap of a lot about Bone Marrow transplants. Good luck to you.

I kind of figured that I'd get a good orientation. It's 9 weeks long, on the shift I'll be working. Plus the nurse manager showed me the orientation "booklet". It's a huge 3 ring binder, completely filled with chemo protocols, different types of marrow transplants etc. My eyes about popped out of my head when I saw it! Thanks
