I just bought white scrubs for my pinning ceremony, they are wrinkled beyond belief. I was thinking I would have them pressed and starched for the ceremony. Has anyone done this? How close to the day should I have them done? Will they be hot with the starch? It can get really muggy around here in May.

Yes.
You buy a can of spray starch, use a good clean iron and do it at home.
Spray or mist some water onto the wrinkles, then iron them out. To add weight and a really sharp and smooth look, finish off with the starch.
If you don't want starch, then just use water.
You must make sure your iron is clean when doing whites.
Now, if you don't know how to iron or don't want to be bothered, I'm sure you can have this done at a good dry cleaner's.
You can do this at any time as long as you keep your uniform neatly hung on a hanger.
