Hey there Bay Area new grads! Stanford and Lucille Packard have posted the dates for their RN Residency programs and they open at the end of the month! (April 30th)

It's nice to hear that other people also have second interviews this week. Good luck to everyone waiting to hear from LPCH and those with interviews for LPCH and Stanford still to come!

So we started off with 72 for the panel interviews, right? Then we got cut down to 30 something - is that right? And how many jobs are there? I've heard 18-22 - not sure what the real number is. Does anyone know how many people they are hiring per unit? Trying to figure out what my odds might be....from what people have revealed on this site it looks like 2 of us have med/surg units and 1 has PICU. Let's keep our fingers crossed for the rest of us who are waiting! :) I can't take my mind off of it...

I know a nurse in Maternity who said they were going to hire two, but may actually hire three. Anyone else out there waiting to interview with Maternity?

@bustercat: it was 72 then to 30 and HR said 16-18 final last I heard. I know 3 West was taking 3 and the PICU is taking 4...other than that I'm not sure how many - I imagine 2-3 for most units. I am so sorry for your wait I know it's excruciating! Keeping my fingers crossed for all of you still waiting to hear!!

Yep 3 West took 3. 3 North was taking 1. I'm not sure about South. Maternity is definitely 3.

Aloha! I also received an offer for the pediatric ICU! Excited to meet everyone Sep 10th. Has anyone started to look into housing in the bay area?

@amcardle: congrats! Looks like we'll be working together!! I just started searching yesterday and am going up Thursday to do some house hunting. I'm glad they gave us enough time to figure it out since its all so crazy expensive!

Congrats to those individuals that received an offer! :) If you guys don't mind, can you tell us what school you attended, gpa, extracurricular activities and other background experience? I have friends that are graduating soon and would like to know what kind of individuals the residency programs are looking for. It will be greatly appreciated! Again, CONGRATS!
